Suzuka has been compared to other manga such as Love Hina,[6] Maison Ikkoku,[15][16] and Kimagure Orange Road[17] since, early on, it used similar plot structure and plot devices. These comparisons became less frequent as the story developed. According to Kouji Seo, Suzuka was to be a romance story from the beginning, and he had no intention of creating a harem manga.[18] Since the North American version is uncensored, this caused the manga to be rated "Mature" and sold in shrink wrap.[19] Despite the amount of fan service, the manga does not focus on that element.[16] Kouji Seo pays attention to detail which can be seen in the clothing that gives off the sensation they are made out of different material along with the reflections in the windows during the nighttime.[20] This detail can also be seen in his characters as they all have complex personalities that make them interesting and have substance.[21] Overall the reception of the manga has been positive.

hey buddy i miss you still. i have been thinking of you and predict i will continue to during the coming year, and my conscious life. winter - christmas - is a lot less gloomy when you're around.
my family's here and we're getting along really well. my sister's back from africa for a bit. she's really my favorite person a lot of the time, especially when it's just me and her. she's the only person in the world i feel like i can talk to sometimes, and it's only been that way within the past few years. it's really nice.
ending 2009 things for me are... up in the air.
i feel like 98% of it was a waste of fucking time but in another sense i wonder how i could have existed without this year happening, or being in another life entirely. in a way the events and resulting revelations over this past year seem integral to my thought process and entire existence. and in other ways, a waste of time. i will have better answers next year. |

i saw the 2-hour pilot very late at night on channel 177 - "CHILLER" - and the following day off watched the first seven-episode season. i've been watching an episode here and there of season two since then, i am up to number eight now i think. they're all on the cbs website. it's under videos and then "classic shows" or something, i have it bookmarked now so i can't recall.

it's weird and funny and disturbing and erotic and excellent i think. i like it a great deal, perhaps too much. i glad and surprised it was on television, i think it's a bit too cool for it.

I did a guest comic a while back for Left-Handed Toons (by right handed people). It was a short one called "Meaning of Life" that I wrote about 2 years ago and never really used. So I used it for that. Here is the LEFT HANDED strip.
That took way too long to make with my left hand!! JEsus did it ever! Before I used it for a guest comic, tho, I originally wanted to re-draw it for another project that fell through. I had penciled it out normally, but never inked it. After I did the guest strip, I decided to go back to those pencils and finish it up, so I could see it as I normally imagined it. So here it is again, as done with my RIGHT HAND.

I did a banner for this blog right here for ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) spydabass and I wanted to post a larger version of the main part here.
Sean gave me a load of albums to redraw and work into the picture, so I chose 10 and redrew them. Not all of them are super amazingly redrawn, but here they are as well!!!
All albums picked by him. I just had to draw them, and in some cases, not draw them. It's a wonderful world of freelance!! |
